The event will take place on board three coaches travelling from Maastricht to Brussels. Employers and students will be able to ‘speed date’ on two of the buses, whilst the third bus will be reserved for workshops, with the aim of teaching students how to network and communicate with potential employers. On arrival in Brussels, each company will introduce themselves with a short presentation. This will be followed by a job fair. Companies will be given the chance to present themselves and to meet students and alumni, who, in turn, will have the opportunity to gather information about the various companies. The return journey will enable companies, students and alumni on the other to convene in a more informal setting.
A word from Alderman Mieke Damsma:
Cultural and language differences present no barriers to these students and alumni who are looking for a job. Today’s young professionals prefer to obtain information at European rather than regional or national job fairs, searching for an employer who will allow them to develop. The Catch that Coach! careers event provides students and alumni with the ideal opportunity to explore their career opportunities.
